Mahendra Engineering College for Women is established by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of renowned educationalist Shri.M.G.Bharathkumar, who is the Chairman of the Trust and a well-known Philanthropist in this region.
Realising the importance of technical education for women, Mahendra Educational trust started its first college exclusively for women, Mahendra engineering college for women in 2008, at Kumaramangalam in Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. The college is an AICTE approved institution, affiliated to Anna university Coimbatore, and offers four undergraduate programmes in the field of Engineering and Technology.

We’re now eleven years into our experiment and incredibly proud of the outcome. We’ve educated over 875 students between 2009-2020 through in-person programs.

The Department was established in 2008 with B.E. programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been successfully functioning since 2008. It offers B.E (Computer Science and Engineering) and M.E (Computer Science and Engineering).

In the world of technology, the human life will be incomplete without the role of Information Technology. Information Technology at BIT is interdisciplinary. It was inaugurated in the year 2008.
